When directories are dragged from the file list and dropped onto the sidebar navigation bar, they are now added as sidebar favorites (bookmarks) instead of being copied/moved into the target location. This enables macOS Finder-like drag-to-sidebar behavior for quick folder access. Files dropped on the sidebar retain the existing copy/move behavior. Dropping on Trash also retains existing behavior. Build the project from source
# Clone the project using `git`
git clone https://github.com/pop-os/cosmic-files
# Change to the directory that was created by `git`
cd cosmic-files
# Build an optimized version using `cargo`, this may take a while
cargo build --release
# Run the optimized version using `cargo`
